First Floor Master

First Floor Master

Most baby boomers that come to visit our model home is looking for a first floor master suite.  Some builders may include a big room on the main floor with a powder room nearby and call it a main floor bedroom.  While this may be just fine for guests and in-laws,  it’s not the true meaning of a real first floor master.

A true master bedroom equals privacy.  The main floor should be a functional layout for your drop zone, kitchen, and living/family/TV area.  Converting a study or den into a bedroom, you will be excluding the separation of what a traditional first floor master has to offer.  How about a long private hallway leading into your master oasis?  Yes, please.  How about walking out of your first floor-cum-master directly into the kitchen or family room?  No, thanks.   It needs to make sense!  This way, the master bedroom WILL be a functional layout consisting of a walk in closet and a full bathroom.  Together. Privately.  Like this floor plan….
